    Find Your Vibe

Before we design anything, we need to understand the feel you're after. Great apparel isn't just a logo on a shirt, it's a vibe. This guide will help you find and articulate yours.

    Pinterest is your best friend

    1. Search beyond your industry. If you sell coffee, don't just search "coffee shirt." Search "vintage band tee design," "minimalist streetwear typography," "earthy color palette."
    2. Create a board for this project. Pin 15 to 30 images. Variety beats volume.
    3. Save the parts, not just the whole. Save typography, color combinations, illustration styles, and layout ideas, not just full shirts.
    4. Try these search starters (each opens Pinterest in a new tab):

    Google Image search tips

    • Use adjectives, not nouns. "Warm vintage Western tee" beats "t-shirt."
    • Try these patterns: "[adjective] [adjective] [garment] design" or "[era] [aesthetic] apparel print"
    • Use Google's color filter under Tools, then Color, to find designs matching your brand palette.

    Borrow from retailers (ethically)

Browse brands in your category and adjacent ones. Some good ones to start with:

Don't copy. Do note: typography, layout proportions, color combinations, illustration style, finish (vintage wash, puff print, etc.).

    How to talk about vibe

Pick 3 to 5 words that describe your direction. You'll be able to edit these as you go.
