What You Must Provide
To begin development, the client must provide all required materials listed below.
These items are commonly included as part of project scope and are not an exhaustive list of all possible requirements.
If it is not provided, it will not be created.
Platform Requirements
Shopify or Shopify Plus
Required platform
We work exclusively within the Shopify ecosystem. No other platforms are supported for this standalone dev work at this time.
Shopify-Native Priority
Preferred tools
We prioritize Shopify-native tools and approved apps, though we do work with third-party solutions when needed.
Scope + Change Policy
All project scope must be defined and approved before development begins. Once work has started, any changes or additions will be treated as out-of-scope and billed separately.
Change Requests & Scope Adjustments
Once development has begun, any changes to the original scope, including additions, revisions, or new requests, will require:
- A revised estimate
- Written approval before work begins
- Additional billing at the applicable hourly rate
This includes (but is not limited to):
- •New features or functionality
- •Revisions to previously approved designs
- •Additional integrations
- •Content or layout changes
- •New pages or workflows
- •Changes requested after development has started
All scope changes are handled separately to ensure transparency, accurate timelines, and proper allocation of resources.
Important
Once a project is in progress, the original scope is considered locked.
Any modifications, additions, or changes requested after development begins will be billed as additional work and must be approved in writing before proceeding.

Assets must be final. Placeholder assets will not be created.
UX / UI Design Files
- Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent
- Desktop and mobile layouts
- Button styles and typography
Designs must be finalized prior to development.
Website Structure & Pages
- Final page list and sitemap
- Page hierarchy and navigation
- Required templates (PDP, collection, etc.)
- Mobile vs desktop considerations
Functionality & Features
- Subscription requirements
- Product logic and variants
- Bundles, upsells, checkout flow
- Any custom functionality
If functionality is not explicitly defined, it will not be built.
Apps & Integrations
- List of required Shopify apps
- Purpose and configuration
- Access credentials
Content & Copy
- Page copy and product descriptions
- FAQs, legal pages, button text
- Email copy (if applicable)
Copywriting is not included unless scoped separately.

Anything not listed or not provided will not be created, assumed, or included in the project scope.
Any additional work will be billed separately at the applicable hourly rate.
